ARMOURED VEHICLES NIGAM LIMITED (AVNL), AVANI is one of the DPSUs formed consequent to the decision of Government of India to convert Ordnance Factory Board into 07 fully owned Government Corporate Entities.
AVNL comprises of 05 Manufacturing Units and 03 Non-Production units. AVNL has been registered by Ministry of Corporate Affairs on 14th August, 2021, under Company's Act of 2013 and commenced its business from 1st October 2021.
Vigilance administration in any organisation is an integral function of management. Vigilance helps in good corporate governance by inculcating values & ethics in an organisation. Probity & integrity in every actions and transactions of an organisation is enhanced by its Vigilance mechanism.
Vigilance Department in AVNL is not still independently fully functional under AVNL Corporation and is reporting to Vigilance/DoO (C&S), Kolkata. CVO/BEL was given additional charge of CVO/AVNL w.e.f 16.10.2025. Under him one Dy. CVO of SAG rank is posted in AVNL Corporate Office and 02 nos of Junior Work Managers are working under the Dy CVO. Each manufacturing unit under AVNL is having their own Vigilance Officers to coordinate the vigilance activities at factory level.
Main focus of Vigilance is in Preventive Vigilance and systemic improvements to curb corruption and to encourage & ensure fare business practices. Complaints received are handled as per CVCās Complaint Handling Policy and whistle blower policy. Preventive vigilance as well as punitive vigilance ensures compliance to various regulations and guidelines as defined by CVC / MoD / CBI / AVNL Corporate Guidelines / any other Regulatory and Statutory requirements.
