Later ATS Ambernath was renamed as Regional Training Institute and established in 1996 for imparting training to Group B & C officials of Ordnance Factories and their Allied Establishments. RTI was renamed as Ordnance Factories Institute of Learning in the year 2005.

AVNLIOL Ambernath intend full capacity utilization of the resources & infrastructure in the field of Hydraulics & Pneumatics – and centre of excellence, AutoCAD, Design and Unigraphics etc. The three laboratories; namely Hydraulics and Pneumatics Lab. Design Lab and IT Lab present an ultra-modern look. These Labs have been upgraded with add-on kits recently. Further, “Atal Tinkering Lab” in the field of Automation & Robotics is being set-up. The Design Lab is also being upgraded with installation of a 3D Printer. The conditions are ideal and congenial for best training.
