The main governance body comprise of board of directors(Operations, Finance and HR) and headed by CMD(Chairman and Managing Director). All the production Units viz Heavy Vehicles Factory(HVF), Engine Factory Avadi(EFA), Ordnance Factory Medak(OFMK), Vehicle Factory Jabalpur(VFJ), Machine Tool Prototype Factory(MTPF) and IOLs viz. Institute of Learning Avadi(AVNLIOLAV), Institute of Learning Medak(AVNLIOLMK), Institute of Learning Ambernath(AVNLIOLAM) are controlled by the Board of Directors. The chief Vigilance Officer directly reports to CMD and Dy.CVO reports to Chief Vigilance Officer. Marketing office viz. AVNL Pune Office and AVNL New Delhi office are reporting to Director/Operations.
