Shri Rajiv Kumar Sharma, as Director / Finance
Shri Rajiv Kumar Sharma assumed charge as Director (Finance) of Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVNL) on 23rd February 2026. Prior to joining AVNL, he has served as an Additional General Manager (Internal Audit) at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Heavy Industries.
Shri Rajiv Kumar Sharma is a finance professional with over 30 years of rich and diverse experience in Corporate Finance, Internal Audit and Corporate Governance. He is an Associate Member of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) & The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). He is also a Law graduate and holds a degree in MBA (Finance).
He began his professional career in 1995 as an Executive Trainee (ET) with BHEL and has served across Corporate, Regional Offices & Joint Venture of BHEL in diverse capacities.
Over the span of his career, he has progressed through various portfolios including Accounting, Internal Audit, Budgeting, Joint Venture & Subsidiaries, Corporate & Secretarial Affairs etc. demonstrating his strong expertise in such fields. His extensive knowledge and vast experience in finance and corporate governance will further elevate AVNL’s financial management standards while upholding the highest standards of governance practice. Besides work, he is also an avid trekker, often leading teams on challenging expeditions.
